into the blue- what i am afraid of
What am I afraid of?
crowding your inbox
human nature
addiction
mediocracy
entitlement
settling
staying up late
how much I love my people
being misunderstood
what do i do anyway?
send you emails
orientate to and from the heart
learn about addiction
practice self love
remember "we're all bozos on this bus"
get creative
live by "early to bed, early to rise"
love more
connect
What are you afraid of, and what do you do anyway? (These are very therapeutic lists to make.)
Here's what I want to tell you about Blue Light:
LIVE classes will return to the 9am start beginning Tuesday, October 13
There will be no CAKE class on Columbus Day; instead I'll be teaching a special 4pm Blue Light Yoga class that will incorporate meditation, flow, and yin.
You can UP your CAKE practice by bringing props to class (any combination of a ball, free weights, ankle weights and/or therabands will do).
I would like to email you once a week- every Sunday is my plan. My emails will include some combination of: something I've written to share; blue light updates, including schedule changes, new offerings, upcoming class themes; and/or recommendations on what to watch, eat, read, listen to, plant, etc. I understand some of you may not want to receive a weekly email from me (big breath here as I face a fear) thus I'm building a survey for you to take to what pieces listed above interest you. The survey will be included in Sunday's email.
I'm building a new website under the domain Blue Light Collective, which will parent Blue Light Yoga, CAKE and Blue Light Counseling. Blue Light Collective will continue to expand to bring meaningful collaborations and connections beyond yoga, CAKE and counseling. (She's wall-less for now, but someday we will find her a big old blue barn to grow into.)
Our first Blue Light Book Club is Wednesday, October 21 at 630pm. We'll be discussing Caste by Isabel Wilkerson. If you start today, 25 pages a day will allow you to finish the book by 10/21. Or read what you can, and come to the discussion anyway. There's a small admission fee ($6), which will be donated to Justice Aid.
Membership doors are still open. If you're considering a membership, let me break it down:
If you take at least 5 Blue Light Yoga and/or CAKE classes/recordings a week, you pay less and get more with the Motherload Membership.
If you take at least 3 CAKE classes/recordings a week, you pay less and get more with a CAKE Membership.
If you take at least 2 Blue Light Yoga classes/recordings a week, you will pay less and get more with a Blue Light Yoga Membership.
And the best part is that once you're a remember, you're just one click away from every
An Introduction to Blue Light Yoga series is now available.
If you still haven't tried CAKE, check out the Introduction to CAKE series.
Did you know that there are CUPCAKE recordings available too? CUPCAKE is a 20-minute CAKE class that is great post-run, or when you don't have a lot of time, but you want/need to move!
If you'd like to schedule a Blue Light Counseling session, or learn more about my approach to counseling, email me at georgia@bluelightyoga.com.
As always, thank you for reading,
